Food for life - an exciting whole school approach to growing, cooking and learning about the food that we eat
Food for life sessions take place on a Tuesday afternoon and here the children learn important life skills such as growing food and cooking healthy recipes.
Food for life is led by our KS1 teacher Miss. Rowe.
At the end of the Summer Term 2018 we were awarded the Silver level of the Food For Life Quality Mark! Well done everyone!
Since the start of term the children have been busy harvesting all the wonderful produce that has grown in the warm summer months. Amongst other things they have been busy making chutney to sell at our Christmas Fair.
Yorkshire Gardens Trust Awards, October 2018
A big thank you to Miss Rowe who has submitted an application and won a Grounds Development grant for £250! We plan to spend this on developing an allotment space behind the Village Shop in the Spring and Summer Terms 2019. Our produce can then be sold to the community via the village shop.
